Had a couple of hours on the 9.1, planing most of the time for the last hour - nicely powered up on prety flat water comfortably blasting. WInd started to pick up then (as forecast) so went in, ate a sandwich and rigged up the 7.6 (and changed fin)

Hmm, should have rigged the 6.1 in hindsight as I was overpowered straight away. Stopped a few times to add downhaul and outhaul until the sail was on its limit.
Still not happy - managed to get back downwind to the beach after 1/2 hour of trying (it aint easy when you are powered up big time) Quick check with the anemometer confirmed that it was now 20 Knots.

Pissing down with rain, should I rig a 6.1 (not the best choice for my carve 161 - should have taken a smaller board too) or cut my losses and go home.

Decided to bail as was getting late ;-)

A nice session, although spent too much of it way overpowered. Well it's better than being underpowered isn't it ;-)
